Use DDS now

The method works. Access is still improvised.

There is no DDS app or platform yet. For now, we can use a custom GPT inside ChatGPT or manually upload the DDS files to a capable AI. Both routes can run the full method. Neither is the simple public interface DDS is meant to become.

The required starting command

After the DDS files finish uploading, type exactly: “Run DDS.” The AI should identify the DDS Engine as loaded, show its operating frame, and offer two starting paths. That response confirms that the method is active. A normal conversational question may not start DDS.

What should happen next

The response makes the active method visible.

A successful startup identifies DDS by name, states how it will work, confirms its operating mode, and asks which kind of work is beginning. If this screen does not appear, type “Run DDS” again before entering the problem.

Tell me what solution you are proposing and what problem it is meant to solve.

Two current options

The method is usable. The doorway is unfinished.

The custom GPT is the shortest route. Manual upload gives more control and works in other capable AI systems, but it assumes comfort with downloading, uploading, and prompting from source files.

The manual route

Upload the files. Then tell the AI to run DDS.

The Engine tells the AI which steps to follow. The Knowledge Base explains the reasoning, rules, and safeguards behind them.

1. Download and upload the Engine:
DDS Engine v11.6 (.txt) →

2. Download and upload the Knowledge Base:
Master Knowledge Base v11.6 (.txt) →

3. Add the book if wanted. The Engine can run without it. The book gives the AI more of the philosophy, examples, and conceptual depth.

4. After every file has finished uploading, type exactly: “Run DDS.”

When the DDS startup screen appears, choose A to bring a complex problem or B to test a proposed solution. To skip the menu, type: “Run DDS on [the problem].”

What a complete run produces

Eight phases. One complete first pass.

The output is intentionally substantial. The point is to make the reasoning visible before a user decides what to revise, publish, or carry forward.

01

Define the problem

Name the large problem, the conditions causing it, the specific part this run will address, and what remains outside it.

The housing crisis is the umbrella problem; this run addresses teacher housing rather than the entire market.

02

Deconstruction

Look beneath the visible problem at the people, rules, rewards, and repeated reactions that keep producing it.

Traffic is visible; job locations, housing patterns, and transportation options help produce it.

03

Dialectics

Present the strongest fair case for the competing values, decide how much weight each receives, and name who pays the price.

A speed limit protects safety by restricting some freedom.

04

Mechanism

Show how the plan works: who has authority, who does the work, what they need, what happens first, and what evidence guides them.

The county approves. The grant pays. The contractor builds.

05

Readiness and audit

Ask whether the people and institutions can carry the plan now, what else it may change, and whether to proceed, pause, or choose another path.

06

Readable explanation

Turn the technical analysis into public language without hiding how the plan works or what it costs.

07

What changed

Show what this run moved, what remains unresolved, and which part of the larger problem should be addressed next.

08

User choice

Publish, solve the next part, revise, clarify, or start fresh. The system recalculates. The user decides.

Across all phases

Checks that keep it honest

The opposing view must be presented fairly. Costs must be concrete. The plan must be practical. Evidence cannot be invented.

The first blueprint is a draft. Agency stays human.

Change the focus. If the Engine chose the wrong cause or condition, redirect it while keeping the larger problem in view.

Shift the dialectic. If the balance is wrong, say which value needs more protection and ask the Engine to recalculate who benefits, who loses, and what may happen next.

Replace the mechanism. If the proposed action is unacceptable or unavailable, ask for a different way to produce the intended change.

Change the form. Once the reasoning is complete, turn it into a policy draft, presentation, narrative, letter, meeting document, or another form suited to the work.

Limits and responsibility

AI carries cognitive load. It does not carry moral or professional authority.

DDS outputs are proposals. Human judgment remains active, especially when the work affects health, safety, rights, finances, infrastructure, or public policy.

Privacy

Protect sensitive information.

Do not place identifiable medical, legal, financial, or private relational information into a third-party AI system unless the environment is appropriate for that material.

Professional judgment

Domain expertise remains required.

DDS does not replace clinical care, legal counsel, engineering review, financial advice, or the accountable authority of the people implementing a decision.

Evidence

A plausible answer is not a verified fact.

Specific precedents, laws, costs, and research claims should be checked against current primary sources before implementation.

License

Personal use is open. Institutional use is licensed.

The files are free for individual and noncommercial personal, relational, educational, and exploratory use. Organizational and commercial deployment requires a separate license.

Begin

The useful input is the problem as it is actually lived.

After DDS confirms that the Engine is loaded, describe where the problem exists, what feels stuck, what has already been tried, what feels at stake, and what “better” would change. Emotion is useful orientation. Evidence still has to do the work of evidence.
